Revelations of the Ark of the Covenant

Revelations of the Ark of the Covenant

Can we even know where the ark of the covenant actually is? There answer is not with 100% certainty, but the chances are more than excellent that we can. What I want to attempt to explain here is one of the Bible’s amazing treasures, wherein we can be more than certain exactly where the Ark is today, how it got there, and why it is where it is, and I guarantee it will shock you as it did me.

We also have one eye witness testimony as to the location of the Ark. Biblical archeologist Ron Wyatt, whose discoveries include the city of Sodom & Gomorrah, the site of Exodus, and the crossing of the Red Sea among others. Mr. Wyatt died in 1999 so unfortunately his eye witness account died with him. Whether or not Mr. Wyatt actually saw the Ark, is not what I want to bring to your attention. In fact, I do not even know if Mr. Wyatt had any knowledge of the information in this article or how it connects with the secret of Solomon’s Temple and the Ark of the Covenant. Most people are not aware of this information, this includes Bible scholars, religious leaders, or anyone, and there is scarcely a website or any shred of evidence address this online. Because of this, I can’t just refer you to a website or pass along someone else’s articles. So my goal here, is to try to present the information as clearly and concisely as possible so anyone can grasp the big picture of what has most likely happened with the Ark of the Covenant.

The last time the Ark of the Covenant was seen was approximately 597BC to 587BC before the Babylon captured and destroyed Jerusalem (2 Kings 25:3-5) in the Holy of Holies within Solomon’s Temple.

“And said unto the Levites that taught all Israel, which were holy unto the LORD, Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel did build; it shall not be a burden upon your shoulders: serve now the LORD your God, and his people Israel,” (2Ch 35:3)

The Ark was put in King Solomon’s Temple in approximately, 621BC, about 35 years before Babylon attacked Jerusalem.

What did the Babylonians take from Solomon’s Temple? The Bible tells us they took pots, shovels, snuffers, spoons, bowls, firepans, basins, caldron, candlesticks, cups sand vessels of brass, gold and silver and took them to Babylon (2 Kings 25:13-15, Jer. 52:17-19). There is absolutely no mentioned whatsoever of the Ark of the Covenant, and to this day, it has never been found. Maybe.

The clues lie in the design of the Solomon’s Temple, particularly in the two pillars Jachin and Boaz.

“And he set up the pillars in the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called the name thereof Jachin: and he set up the left pillar, and called the name thereof Boaz.” (1Kings 7:21)

Before King Nebuchadnezzar attacked Jerusalem, we’re told the height of the pillars were 18 cubits, and the brass capitals on top each pillar were five cubits.

“For he cast two pillars of brass, of eighteen cubits high apiece: and a line of twelve cubits did compass either of them about. And he made two chapiters (capitals on top a clumn) of molten brass, to set upon the tops of the pillars: the height of the one chapiter was five cubits, and the height of the other chapiter was five cubits:” (1Ki 7:15,16)

Why this is important? Because something changed after Babylon attacked.

“The height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits, and the chapiter upon it was brass: and the height of the chapiter three cubits; and the wreathen work, and pomegranates upon the chapiter round about, all of brass: and like unto these had the second pillar with wreathen work.” (2Ki 25:17)

A discrepancy in measurements? Why is there a difference of 41.25” or 2 cubits in the height of the pillar? For anyone who believes the Word of God is without error, must therefore conclude there must be an explanation. And there is.

The brass capital on top of the pillar scripture says was solid, made “all of brass.” (Jer. 52:22) And the pillar was hollow (Jer. 52:21). The big secret, is that the weight of the solid brass capitol, when operated, sank down into the brass pillar 41.25 inches, forcing a piston inside the hallow pillar, downward, operating a lever system underneath Solomon’s Temple, which functioned as a reverse elevator system, allowing the Ark of the Covenant, the table of shewbread, and the golden lampstand, to be carried away in an underground passageway. Here’s how it works.

Image 1

The solid red shaft within the hollow pillar, was pushed down using the weight of the solid brass capitol above which probably weighed several tons. This pressed down on a beam which rested on a rock or some object functioning as the fulcrum of the lever.

So the beam wouldn’t rise uncontrollably, a second piston filled with sand placed as a wedge between the long beam and the foundation of the temple. This piston is pictured directly underneath the golden Ark in image 1. As the weight of the brass capitol pushed down, causing the opposite end of the beam to rise, it pushed up on this first piston slowly forcing the sand out the small opening at the top on the right on side as pictured. As the piston was driven up forcing the sand out, this slowed down the lever system making it safe to operate without destroying itself.

In Image 2 the movement is shown by the arrows. Again, the weight of the capitol is driven downward, rising the beam on the opposite end. As the first piston under the Ark is driven upward, it forces the sand out of the shaft to the right, slowly rising the elevator, and with it, the secret elevator room on the far left. The four small arrows pointing down just to the left of the Ark, show the four keystones that when unlocked, trigger the elevator system. It would take four men, each standing on one of the keystones, to unlock the stones and activate the elevator.

At this stage, the Ark of the Covenant is placed inside the elevator, as was the table of showbread, and the golden lampstand. The brass capitol on top of the pillar outside the temple is obviously not going to go back up. The purpose of this third piston on the far left in Image 3, directly under the elevator room, is to lower the room beneath the foundation of the temple, so the Ark and the other articles of furniture could be carried away in the underground passage. This third piston was activated by opening a valve by which the sand could escape. The weight of the elevator room forced downward on the piston, and the pressure caused the sand to escape out the valve, lowering the elevator as pictured in Image 4.

Notice in image four that the shaft in each piston has been driven up into the column where the sand used to be.

When the elevator room descended back down. The ceiling of the elevator room, which also served as a false floor in the temple, locked back into place via the four keystones. And the Ark was carried away into the underground passageway without any sign of its disappearance.

When the Chaldees from Babylon destroyed the brass pillars outside the temple, they found that the brass capitols on top of the pillars were not three cubits in height as mentioned in 2 Kings 25:17, but they were five cubits.

“And a chapiter of brass was upon it; and the height of one chapiter was five cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the chapiters round about, all of brass. The second pillar also and the pomegranates were like unto these.” (Jer 52:22)

Take note, that the Bible gives us this information:

Before the Attack: Brass Capitals = 5 cubits
During/After the Attack: Brass Capitals = 3 cubits
After Pillars Destroyed: Brass Capitals = 5 cubits

What scripture is revealing is that the size of the brass capitals never changed, but that when the elevator was activated, the capitol sunk part way into the hollow pillar leaving only 3 cubits of the capital visible on top of the pillar. Where the Ark went once it was carried away in the underground passageway, is perhaps the most astounding facet to this mystery.

The underground cave system, runs from the location of Solomon’s Temple, outside the city walls of Jerusalem to the crucifixion site of Jesus more than five hundred years before the death of Jesus.

In the Old Testament, the sacrifices for sins were offered by the blood of goats, lambs, bulls and other animals. The blood from these animals, was always taken by the high priest, into the Holy of Holies, where the Ark of the Covenant was, and the blood was sprinkled upon the east end of the mercy seat, where God dwelt.

“And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it with his finger upon the mercy seat EASTWARD; and before the mercy seat shall he sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.” (Lev 16:14)

The Ark laid in its place for more than five hundreds years, until a miraculous event occurred. Jesus of Nazareth was taken outside the city walls and crucified for the forgiveness of sins for all mankind.

After Jesus died, the Roman soldier pierced Jesus, and the blood of Christ, and water poured out of the side of the Messiah.

“But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.” (John 19:34)

And at this time also, there was an earthquake that rent the rocks of the earth.

“And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;” (Mat 27:51)

The blood and water of Jesus Christ, which bare record of the sacrifice for sins and the promise of eternal life, poured out of the side of Christ, and down through the rent rocks in the earth below the surface, and onto the Ark of the Covenant, on the west side, at the right hand of God.

Artist’s Rendering of Ron Wyatt’s description of the Ark depicting the blood on the Mercy Seat.

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.” (1Jn 5:7)

(Blood on the right hand on God symbolizes His acceptance, while the left hand of God symbolizes rejection.) (Heb 10:4)

“And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.” (Mat 25:33)

This verse says there are three that bare witness in heaven, and three that bare witness in the earth, the water, blood, and Holy Spirit.

Now that you are familiar with the concept of where the Ark is, why, and how it got there, I will give you references to support the evidence.

Most notably, and despite tons of criticism, Ron Wyatt photographed the crack in the rocks due to the earthquake, and even videotaped dark red spots near the crack, then when light was shined on the spots they turned a whitish color, which is typical of old blood. The Ron Wyatt discovered an underground passageway and claims to have seen the Ark, I do not know if he is familiar with the concept of how it got there from Solomon’s Temple. Nevertheless, the two sides of the story mesh together giving us an idea of the big picture.

Photographs, video, and more of Ron Wyatt’s findings can be found on the website for the Wyatt Research Institute at http://www.wyattmuseum.com/. In 2002 the Wyatt research team went back to the site where Ron claimed to have seen the Ark and continued excavation of the site. Even more video evidence, photographs and further information are available in a 2 hour DVD of their findings on the Ark of the Covenant. This DVD can be purchased from their website.

The concept of how the pillars Jachin and Boaz outside Solomon’s Temple revealed the secrets of the underground elevator for hiding the Ark, as well as the graphs above, were given in a presentation titled “The Great Secret of Solomon’s Temple and the Hiding of the Ark of the Covenant” by Michael John Rood sponsored by the Prophecy Club. [UPDATE: THIS VIDEO HAS BEEN REMOVED] A video of his presentation can be seen online at the link above. The information pertaining to Solomon’s Temple begins 1hr and 44mins into the presentation.

Without a doubt, the man Jesus, was anointed of the Holy Spirit, becoming the Messiah, lived perfectly in the will of His Father, and was slain for mankind, as the one and only sacrifice for sin. God’s children who lived before Christ, looked forward in time to the Messiah in faith, for the forgiveness of their sins. And as a sign, the children of Israel sacrificed animals in the way God had instructed, a perfect symbol of Christ’s ultimate sacrifice on the cross. We today, as the children of spiritual Israel, look back in time, in faith, to the sacrifice on the cross for our sins. As a sign of recognizing His sacrifice, we partake in the symbolic act of communion. No man on earth shall at any time, ever obtain salvation by perfectly keeping God’s ten commandments, which is the requirement for eternal life. Instead, all men who trust in Christ for their salvation, point either forward in time to the cross, or backward in time to the cross in order to find grace, that we might be saved by the sacrifice and merits of Christ instead of by our own merits, which fall short of perfectly keeping the commandments. Today, we are not saved by keeping these commandments, we are saved by grace, but are still instructed to keep the ten commandments. Instead of being written on tables of stone, they are written the tables of the hearts of those who belong to God. (Pro. 3:3, 7:3) This Jesus of Nazareth, fulfilled over 300 prophecies in the old testament concerning the coming of the future Messiah. If you honestly desire eternal life, your only hope is Yahu’shua, which is the Hebrew name of Jesus, and means “the salvation of God,” and there are three that bear witness in the earth. That is the water, Spirit, and blood of God which was poured out upon the Ark of the Covenant, at the right hand of God, becoming the only sacrifice acceptable to the Almighty on behalf of mankind.

  1. It is true that the Ark is hid and it is in Jerusalem. I once thought that the Holiest of Holies was built on packed sand and the water from the sea washed away the sand lowering it into its place. However since that time I have found in the Holy scriptures where this was prabably not how it was done. However the Ark was not carried on the shoulders. Ho one has seen the Ark since it was put in its place. Its location can be easily figured out by the Rabbi using Ezekiel’s text. Often we think about the Ark and forget that where it is is also all the utencils and the tabernicle of witness that was used in the wilderness. Nothing was carried into Babylon having the Holy Anointing oil on it. Charles
